Virgin Heart Foundation celebrates Girls, encourages girls to lend their voices for gender equality using innovative Tech.
International Day of the Girl-Child.With the theme: “My Voice, Our Equal Future”Virgin heart foundation for the past five years has consciously promoted stability and values of the Girl-Child.As a platform that enables Girls Voices to be heard and protected, we won’t fail to highlight important achievements of our young women in standing against gender discrimination, Girls in Tech, Girls in Leadership and girls innovatively challenging harmful Socio-Cultural biases that powers Violence.With Generation Equality Forum (GEF), launching 5-year commitments from civil society leaders, governments, corporations and change makers from around the world for bold gender equality impacts. Our Organization will leverage on the action and accountability of Gender Equality forum, commitments made, for and with girls to achieve a bold vision of bridging the digital gender divide.As Women’s rights and Development focused Organization, We would like to add that the Federal Government’s body language to ban Sim card Registration for Youths younger than 18 years tends to reduce fascinating growth of Girls in their digital realities and the solutions they need to excel on their diverse pathways as technologists for freedom of expression, joy, and boundless potential.The Federal and State Government can do better in the fight to rescue girls abducted by bandits in some parts of the country.Speaking on the security challenges, recorded almost on a daily basis, Women and and Girls tend to be the most affected.Bringing it down to south East, Imo state in particular, Most Families have been displaced and many homeless in Izombe, Oguta LGA, Imo west at the alleged attacks by the Uniform Men. If such is not handled and resolved immediately by a responsible Government or state Actors, Imo may no longer be inhabitable for all.We charge our State Actors to device possible solutions to address issues of insecurity and turbulence in the state. Creating an enabling safe spaces for Women and Girls.
